Tailored insurance for the Dance Industry
Aon’s Dance insurance has been arranged to include both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity cover in one policy.
Why do Dancers need Public Liability insurance?
Picture this: You are in the middle of a lesson teaching a group to foxtrot when suddenly there is a loud crash, one of the mirrors on the wall has fallen off and broken glass is everywhere. Unfortunately, it has also landed on the groups personal items and one person has received a cut from the glass. You could be held legally liable for any damage caused to property and for any injuries that may have been incurred.
The Dance Public Liability insurance policy we arrange covers you for your legal liability for property damage and/or bodily injury to a third party that happens during the period of insurance and is caused by an occurrence due to your actions or your business activities.1
Why do Dancers need Professional Indemnity insurance?
We understand the passion dancers and dance teachers have for their craft, and the joy they bring to the masses through performance and teaching.
An allegation is made by a third party who believes that you have breached your professional duty in regard to an act, error or omission and holds you legally liable for the impact it has on them. Would you have the funds to defend the allegation? and, what would it do to your business?
Dance Professional Indemnity insurance provides cover as a result of a breach of professional duty which arises from an act, error or omission by you during the conduct of your business and is first made against you during the period of insurance and includes defence costs.1
