Why do Adventure Sports & Activities businesses need insurance?
Excitement, energy and adrenalin – as an Adventure Sports & Activities business, your service is all about enabling people to reach new heights through some of the most invigorating activities. However, just as all your clients wear protective gear before they embark on their endeavours, it’s also important for you, as the business owner, to adequately equip your business with appropriate insurance.
Having appropriate cover in place can help make sure your business’s financial livelihood isn’t thrown into choppy waters, if an event such as a slip and fall occurred on your premises. Aon has developed an adventure sports and adventure activities leisure insurance package to meet the common needs and risks of your kind of business.
Why choose Aon for Adventure Sport & Activities insurance?
When it comes to insurance for Adventure Sport & Activities businesses, there are a few options available to you, and deciding which ones you need might not be easy. Aon is committed to making life easier for you by arranging insurance that’s easy to understand, buy and manage. Our team of friendly, experienced brokers are a phone call away to help you understand what insurances you may or may not need, but more importantly, why; helping give you confidence that you’re making a better decision for you and your business.
Public Liability Insurance helps protect your business against third-party claims for personal injury or property damage arising out of your business activities. For example, if a client or visitor was to slip and fall while on your business premises, you would look to this policy to cover the claim.1
While these events may seem rare, if they do occur, the financial impact can be very significant. As an Adventure Sport business, your business is likely to have significant interaction with clients, therefore Public Liability insurance is a crucial cover to consider for your business, whether that’s at your store, or out in public.
A key part of this policy is Business Interruption cover, which can provide protection for lost revenue in the event your business is unable to operate as usual, due to an insured peril.1
Business Insurance is made up of a number of coverage sections, and you can choose the sections that relate to your business. Cover is also available for Public Liability.
As an Adventure Sport business, you are likely to store valuable data (such as personal details, bank account details and ID documents). When this type of personal information is kept digitally in your care, custody or control, it is important to consider the risks of data and security breaches. Cyber Insurance may be worth considering when protecting your business.
Cyber has now become one of the essential products a business in the leisure industry should consider. 1
Management Liability insurance can also help cover Employment Practices claims made against you by current or former Employees.1
Product Liability insurance is typically included as part of a Public Liability insurance policy.
Product liability insurance helps protect your business against financial liability for third party injury or damage caused by products sold or supplied through your business.
Public and Products Liability policies can cover legal defence and court costs, assisting your business with the financial setbacks of defending a claim.1
