Insurance for members of Disability Employment Australia

A community approach to helping your organisation increase meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability while navigating organisational risk.

We recognise that Disability Employment Australia (DEA) plays an important role in the Australian community and economy. That’s why we have a dedicated team with over 30 years’ combined experience in the Not for Profit (NFP) sector helping organisations like DEA with their insurance. For all the evolving complex risks outside the normal insurance landscape (for e.g. Cyber, Workplace Health and Safety, and Talent) we also have teams delivering specialist solutions.

Aon’s broad risk expertise allows us to take a holistic approach to educating, benchmarking, consulting, mitigating and managing your risk profile, in a way that’s cost-competitive for your Board and organisation due to our global reach.

We can help you with a wide range of your insurable and non-insurable risk. In addition, our Business Solutions and Consulting teams work across our core capabilities to provide services and solutions which may help improve your efficiency and reduce costs.

We help cover all the essentials

Key policies for your organisation

Journey Cover: Insurance to protect employees whilst travelling directly between the bounds of their place of residence and place of employment, for the purposes of starting or ending their day’s work.

Public and products liability: If third parties suffer an injury or property damage as a result of your organisation's activities, this insurance covers compensation and legal costs where you are legally liable.

Association liability: Packaged insurance for your organisation’s directors, officers and committee members against legal actions arising from their duties. Optional cover sections include professional indemnity, employment practices liability and employee dishonesty.

Voluntary workers’ personal accident: Age shouldn’t be an obstacle to volunteering or your insurance, so we offer a policy with no age limit. .

Property and crime: Insurance against damage to your buildings, contents and stock, with optional cover for items which need to leave your premises. .

Business Interruption: Should an unexpected event occur, such as a flood, fire or storm, Business Interruption insurance could help to keep your business going while you get back on track.

Motor Vehicles - Owned and Non-owned:

Owned Motor Vehicles: Comprehensive motor insurance protects your organisation's vehicles, including those you lease.
Non-Owned Motor Vehicles: This insurance includes cover for loss of excess, no claim bonus and hire costs for vehicles not owned by your organisation (such as those owned by volunteers) while being used on behalf of the organisation.

Cyber cover

Due to the nature of your organisation and the sector it operates in, you may store a lot of personal information on your systems. With the recent rise in cyber hacks and attacks, and the fact that standard insurance policies won’t protect you in the event of one, what would happen if a cyber event affected your business?

In response, our cyber risk experts have worked with insurers to develop competitively priced insurance cover tailored to NFP organisations. Learn More & Apply Online today: Aon’s NFP Cyber insurance

Optional: Volunteering Organisation Cyber cover

How long has it been since you last checked your insurance? Does it meet your current risks, does it account for emerging risks in your organisation’s space or are you paying for covers you don't need?

We've created an Insurance Review Checklist system for established Disability Employment Providers to ensure their insurance still ticks all their risk boxes.
