Retirement Planning

Retirement planning isn’t just about preparing for the time when you stop work. It is a stage in life which may have individual meaning and based on research, retirement has various stages including:

  • Pre-retirement – where you are accumulating funds for your retirement
  • Transition into retirement – where you may be reducing work hours and easing into retirement
  • Active phase – where most people travel and explore various exciting experiences
  • Passive phase – where you settle into a routine in your new life
  • Supported phase – where you require assistance for everyday living

AHFA can help prepare a financial plan that accounts for the various stages of your retirement. We can help build a portfolio that provides for a tax effective and consistent retirement income stream that minimises sequencing and longevity risks. Plus, we can explore Centrelink and government support avenues and provide advice on aged care and crafting a legacy plan.
